Higher Education
The programs under the Higher Education Category target undergraduate students and their direct participation in space related projects. The Space and Aeronautics Internship Program (SAIP) provides scholarships to undergraduate students for participating in internships at the Kennedy Space Center and Florida industry during the Summer. Every year FSGC sponsors one to 2 students from Florida universities and colleges to the NASA Academy Program at the Goddard Space Flight Center and the Ames Research Center.
FSGC also manages and sponsors a number of student collaborative projects which include Hybrid Rocket Competition for undergraduate students and a competition for undergraduate and graduate students to design and build a nano-satellite. Please check the FUNSAT link for more information.
FSGC and Space Florida are jointly sponsoring undergraduate/graduate workshops at the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex. These 1 week academies are held throughout the year. Check the Space Florida Undergraduate workshop web page for the latest workshops and application procedures.
