The Office of Naval Research’s Software and Cyberspace Information Assurance program is interested in receiving proposals for basic scientific research that will forge major advancements in software and systems research. It will lead to new insights and understanding of software producibility, systems engineering, and trust in cyberspace. It will address new and emerging challenges for the extended naval information infrastructure, which by 2020 is expected to be a highly mobile, extremely heterogeneous, globally connected, very widely dispersed, partly trusted, federated enterprise environment. The two basic research areas are broadly defined and address fundamental issues in software, motivated by cyberspace, trust and producibility. Visit http://www.fbo.gov for more information.
